My childhood dream was to become an inventor. While that dream has not yet been fulfilled, as a patent attorney I have the privilege of acquainting myself with new technology on a daily basis. And I get to work closely with innovative people!
After two decades in the patent industry I have experience of IP from several perspectives. As in-house IP counsel, I was busy aligning the IP strategy with the R&D strategy and keeping an eye on the competition. As patent examiner, my task was to quickly understand the peculiars of each patent application and decide on the patentability. This background is of great value in my current role as patent attorney, giving advice to clients of all sizes and various IP maturity.
