With clarity and a strategic approach

I have been working with intellectual property since 2006, and I have closely followed companies of different sizes, in different phases and with different paths to success.

I believe that innovations create and build value in a company – and that it is important to find the right way to be able to use these in the best way. Both start-ups and established companied needs to work strategically and dynamically with innovation. Successful business development is really not one-size fits all, but requires courage and patience, even when it comes to creating a good portfolio of intellectual property.

I am a certified board member according to ”Styrelseakademin”, as well as a certified investor.  Currently I am also involved in our M&A team together with Advokatbyrån Gulliksson AB. My perspective on your intellectual property rights will always walk hand in hand with your business focus, regardless if it concerns creating IPR or investing in tech companies.

I have been a European patent attorney (EPA) since 2010, and I have also participated in marking one of the exams for becoming an EPA since 2014, and that is the part relating to drafting oppositions. Both oppositions and other patent related litigation is something that I appreciate working with. Since the start of Unified European patent court I am also certified to represent clients before the Court as a European Patent Litigator.

At Ström & Gulliksson I work with all patent related questions, such as novelty searches and drafting applications to oppositions, infringement analysis and IP strategies.

My technical experience within the patent field is quite broad, with a basis in chemical and biotechnology I have worked throughout the years with everything from material science, medtech to mechanics and image processing, as well as computer and AI related inventions. I always try to ask the relevant questions to the clients that I am working with in order to ensure that I have understood both the technical and business issues involved – in that way the clients can safely leave the patent law to me.

I also believe that it is important to really understand intellectual property rights, and therefore I always strive to be as clear as possible, both with regards to the advice I give and how the patent process works.

Geographically I belong to the Stockholm office, but I will have my basis in the region Östergötland and Linköping.

In my spare time I enjoy arranging wine tastings in my role as a professional sommelier.

Earlier assignments
I have worked with oppositions at both Swedish and European patent offices, and infringement cases at the Swedish Patents and Market Court.
I have worked with several IP strategy projects, providing a complete review of different companies’ intellectual property assets and rights and providing strategic advice.
Drafted patent applications, novelty searches and opinions, technology watches, and performed freedom-to-operate and infringement analysis.
Have handled large international patent portfolios, and prosecuted patent cases in most of the largest patent jurisdictions. I have wide international network of agents.
