The Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Patent 1000 listing focuses exclusively on patent practice and has firmly established itself as the definitive ‘go-to’ resource for those seeking world-class legal patent expertise. This year we retain our position as highly recommended in the IAM Patent 1000 and some of our patent attorneys have received well deserved special mentions. Further, Ström & Gulliksson is also included among the patent law firms recommended befor the European Patent Office (EPO).

We are grateful to, once again, get the recognition of being highly recommended for patent work in Sweden and before the European Patent Office by IAM Patent 1000.

Our focus is to provide our clients with a comprehensive range of quality services and employees with strong professional expertise and high-level skills, says Christian Arkelius, partner and head of Ström & Gullikssons office in Stockholm.

More about European Patent Office
In 2021 the European Patent Office (EPO) received a record 188,600 applications and Pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications increased, and the volume of applications in areas such as digital communications and medical technology saw nearly double-digit growth.
The pandemic is not thought to have significantly impacted innovation, though it does appear to have negatively affected some EPO functions; for example, oppositions are taking longer to process, with the 15-month target proving difficult to meet.
