I really care about my clients and their businesses! As a patent attorney, I am particularly committed to find creative, proactive and strategic IP solutions for my clients. During my almost 20 years as a patent attorney I have developed a deep understanding of the ways in which IP can most effectively be put to work for clients with different needs. I take pride in delivering recommendations on time and in taking up a definite position when delivering my opinions. IAM and MIP IP STARS have recognized me as a leading patent professional (2017-2024). Based on feedback from industry peers and clients, IAM Patent 1000  identifies me as a “highly recommended” individual: “Christian Arkelius is extensively experienced and highly skilled at handling complex contentious patent cases. Teamwork is key to success in patent law

Patent law is a field that requires a combination of skills in technology, law and business. I simply love working in an environment where lawyers, patent attorneys and business people share ideas, knowledge and experience in this field. Working with people having multidisciplinary skills is not only fun, but also means that all team members develop their skills both personally and professionally. I also enjoy working with clients that appreciate the hard work and all efforts me and my colleagues at Ström & Gulliksson put into our clients’ patent cases.

Trust is the essence of business relationships

I would say business has never been more about close client relationships. It’s the personal touch that makes for good customer relations! For Ström & Gulliksson, business is personal and we’ll never compromise on that. I also think it’s exactly what makes working with us so attractive to some of Sweden’s and the world’s leading companies and brands. My previous assignments

I focus primarily on opinion work, strategic intellectual property counseling and patent contentious matters. I make sure to do a lot of patent drafting and patent prosecution as well, in order to keep fully aligned with case law and developments in these areas. It is my firm belief that a patent attorney needs to keep one foot in drafting/prosecution work to excel in contentious matters, and vice versa.
