European tier one IP firms join forces in leading platform

V.O. Patents & Trademarks, Ström & Gulliksson, De Vries & Metman and Knijff Trademark attorneys today announce the formation of a new group of European patent and trademark firms. The tier one firms are joining forces to redefine the competitive landscape, delivering comprehensive offerings and making strategic investments in technology and innovation to drive enhanced value for clients. The ambition is to grow further and become the largest tier one IP group in Europe with international reach.

The new group combines local partnership and autonomy with the strength of a European player, giving clients access to a broader pool of expertise, deeper technical knowledge, an enhanced service portfolio and seamless support across borders. The participating firms continue to build upon the tier one excellence and personal service that clients trust, creating a natural home for European tier one firms. 

The initiative is sponsored by Consolid, a Swedish investor with a proven track record of successful development of business services platforms. The external support provides the group with the capacity to invest strategically in areas such as IT infrastructure, AI, and enhanced client experience, as well as talent development and management. 

The group is partner-driven and held in co-ownership with the sponsor, supported by professional group management, so that the participating firms can continue focusing on delivering high-quality assignments. 

The group’s current footprint extends across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Sweden with headquarters in The Hague and Bernard Ledeboer, partner at V.O. Patents & Trademarks, as CEO.
