Patents offer innovative companies the opportunity to secure and safeguard their value

Participating in Ström & Gulliksson’s trainee program with the aim of becoming a European patent attorney provides me with an opportunity to embark on my journey within an industry that I am drawn to. My strong interest in problem-solving, new technology, and languages is something that I hope will benefit the team I join and the clients and assignments I work with.

Good collaborations are built on trust and a deep understanding of the product development process. For me, the entire journey from gaining initial insight into a unique invention to working on a thorough and well-formulated patent application is appealing. It is truly a privilege to meet those who have created and developed technical solutions and to have their trust in helping protect them. Collaboratively defining and formulating approved patent claims while securing the business value is a challenge that attracts me. Ultimately, it’s about taking care of an idea in the best possible way and providing the client with the opportunity to protect it from infringement and create the right conditions for profitability.

During my master’s degree, my focus was on medical technology and machine learning, fields I am eager to continue deepening my knowledge in. It’s an incredibly exciting field that affects many people and influences society’s development at large. The scope of the role as a patent consultant is fantastic as it provides the opportunity to work with a variety of companies, allowing one to encounter many different types of innovation. The patent industry is incredibly diverse and exciting! Working across different industries and with cutting-edge technology is both exciting and rewarding. I hope that in my role as a patent consultant, I can contribute to an innovative business environment that provides long-term value for the companies I assist.
