Commitment to detail – Crucial to the big picture

I’m happiest when I’m working closely with inventors and management teams to really get to grips with an innovation. I am endlessly inquisitive – I want to see, experience, and understand inventions and ideas to ensure their widespread commercialization. It takes insight and a grasp of detail to see the full picture and its potential. The overlooked problem which the innovation resolves; the general principles of technology; the small parts of the big picture. My understanding, creativity, and proactivity are my ways of contributing to the strategic choices that help companies grow.

Tailored service and enduring relationships

In my work as a patent attorney, it is the combination of technology, law, and business that really interests me. My commitment is based on a genuine appreciation of long-term interactions with my clients. I provide a customized service that builds on trust and flexible collaboration, and that enables our clients to make the most of the market. In order to pilot a successful product development and launch, you need a well-thought-out patent strategy – and I am always clear and forthright in all my recommendations.

Previous assignments

In my client-facing work I draft new patents, prosecute pending worldwide patent applications, and prepare opinions on patent infringement, validity, and patentability by working up analyses and challenges to competitor’s rights. From my years of experience advising on strategic intellectual property processes, I am used to drawing up guidelines and decision-making processes for how best to manage and prioritize intellectual property.

My work is focused mainly on the following areas of technology:

  • Mechanical systems and software-based control systems
  • Mobile devices and user interfaces
  • Computer-implemented inventions
  • Consumer products
  • Optics and spectroscopy
  • Artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Medical technologies and equipment
  • General mechanics
