During a week in May this year, IPAC\u201917<\/a> gathered world-leading companies and scientists in particle physics. Rikard Roos, Managing Partner at Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson, was invited to discuss on the theme \u201cOpen Source vs Closed Source IP and How the Two Relate to the Business of Particle Accelerators\u201d together with representatives from CERN<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The open source trend is strong, and the increasing access to open source assets within basically all industries raises many questions about immaterial rights, risks, terms, and responsibilities.<\/p>\n

Rikard Roos<\/a> was invited to IPAC\u201817 for his experience and knowledge in the complex issues that arise between open source, patent protection, and commercial interests.<\/p>\n
