Proud winner of the Managing IP Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year 2021, Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson is looking forward to continuing work on its fresh initiatives. It can look back on a successful year of fruitful changes, successful recruitment, and a number of awards and special citations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the individual awards from Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) were Rikard Roos and Christian Arkelius, who were named MIP IP Stars 2020<\/a>, and Malin Ahlgren and Edmund Lobb, who were named MIP Rising Stars<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When last year\u2019s ranking of Sweden\u2019s leading patent firms was published by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), IAM Patent 1000, it was also clear that Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson is still in pole position as one of Sweden\u2019s leading patent firms, and has been selected as one of a small number of recommended patent firms by the European Patent Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New office in Gothenburg, strategic recruitment, extended management team, and new shareholders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be even closer to market-leading enterprises and to reach more industries, Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson opened an office in Gothenburg in 2020. European patent attorney Peter Ekwall <\/a>was recruited to be the new head of office<\/a>. As in Malm\u00f6, Lund, and Stockholm, Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson and the Gulliksson law firm<\/a> are both under the same roof, and our close collaboration offers numerous client benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the autumn, we were joined by four new paralegals\u2014Helena Andersson, Irtefa Haque, Petter Lindg\u00e5rd and Monica H\u00f6rnell\u2014to redimension the team and increase our high levels of service in our interactions with all our external contacts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October, we welcomed the new members of our management team, Malin Ahlgren<\/a> and Albin Persson<\/a>. Malin Ahlgren has taken charge of the Paralegal Team, and Albin Persson is now running the Mechanics Team. Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson\u2019s management team is now Rikard Roos<\/a>, Bj\u00f6rn Andersson<\/a>, Jan Nilsson<\/a>, Erik Bolmsj\u00f6<\/a>, Christian Arkelius<\/a>, Magnus Berglund<\/a>, Malin Ahlgren<\/a>, and Albin Persson<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the year, Malin Ahlgren became a new partner, and said of her new company-wide responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 I\u2019m inquisitive, I want to understand things, I channel my professional skills as a European patent attorney into ensuring my clients\u2019 success, and I see exactly the same drive in Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson. We\u2019re at an exciting stage, and I see so many opportunities for strengthening our market position. Recruiting continues at all offices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Str\u00f6m & Gulliksson has 51 employees. This year, the company has welcomed three new people to the team\u2014Charlotta M\u00f6ller, renewal administrator; Mathilda Janson, patent consultant; and Mark Heinrich, authorized German patent attorney\u2014whom will soon be presented along with several other new patent consultants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are actively recruiting to all our offices with the assistance of Merlin Wright Associates<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
